Chicago Edge SC provides a quality program for area soccer players at all levels promoting growth and excellence in individual and team soccer skills, in a challenging, rewarding environment, providing a high level of achievement and character development
The Chicago Edge Soccer Club wants every player who earns a place on a Chicago Edge team to be able to play regardless of financial means. Accordingly, the club will provide financial assistance to qualifying players under the guidelines set forth below.
Criteria: Generally the club will strive to award financial assistance where it would be difficult or impossible for the player’s family to pay the Chicago Edge registration fee in full. Financial assistance is awarded for a single soccer year at a time and is based on financial need, not ability. Requests are reviewed each year and assistance is awarded based on current showing of need and availability of funds.
Amount of Request: Requests for both twenty-five percent awards and other awards will be considered. Some contribution will be expected from all players requesting financial aid.
Availability of Funds: Financial assistance may be constrained by the amount of funds raised and available specifically for that purpose, which the Chicago Edge Board will assess annually.
Request Procedures: Financial assistance requests must be made in writing using the Chicago Edge Financial Assistance Request Form found online at the club’s website. Applicants will be asked to submit the most recent copy of their tax return with their request. All requests from current club families are due to the treasurer at least one week before start of tryouts.
Families living in Oak Park or River Forest are also asked to fill out the Oak Park River Forest Youth Services 2012 Financial Assistance Scholarship Request Form.
